Welcome to Paver's Nest St. Patrick's Day Celebration
Just thinking about St. Patrick's Day, for some reason stirs up in me the desire to count my blessings out loud. We at Paver's Nest have so much to be thankful for (not in order): everyday blessings, such as our puppy, a nice home to live in, clothes, food, technology (grin); our children, grandchildren, freedom to worship God, read His Word and go to church, the privilege to bless and encourage others who are suffering or just need a helping hand and the privilege to have an open ear for others. Many other blessings come to mind, but it would take the whole page to list them. However, it is something to think about on St. Patrick's Day and of course everyday. Words to live by: "Help the weak when you are strong, Help the old when you are young; Confess your faults when you are wrong, When you are angry hold your tongue."

Bible Study on Blessings (Bless) (Blessed) Suggestion for the study: First read the Bible study outline; then look up the scriptures for yourself. See if you can find other related scriptures. Make a list of all the blessings that God has bestowed on you. Also, you can look up the words blessing, blessed, bless here. Bible Dictionary and you can do a Bible search for the words here: Bible Gateway A little about LUCK, since many refer to "the luck of the Irish," adn "luck 4 leaf clover" on St. Patrick's Day. What is luck?: The chance something might happen for good; a coincidence, a break, good fortune, windfall and fluke, etc. Luck is more chance than anything. What is a blessing?: The act or words of a person who blesses: God or People can bless. This is showing special favor, showing mercy, encouraging, gift giving, doing something that benefits someone else. Also, we can ask God to bless others in prayer. I totally believe in blessing others and asking God to bless others and that it enriches my life. 1.) God's blessings: Proverbs 10:22 "The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it." Psalm 29: 11 "The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace." Psalm 115: 12-13 "The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great." ...study to be continued soon... 2.) Blessing God is a form of worship: I believe that God loves to hear our praise. As humans we love to hear praise also, and the God that made us enjoy praise also loves praise for Himself.
Psalm 145: 2 "Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever." Psalm 145:10 "All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee." Psalm 134: 1-3 "Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD. 2. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. 3. The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion."
3.) Blessing Others: 1.) Do good to others when possible. We need to look for ways to be good to others and therefore, blessing them. Proverbs 3: 27 "Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it." Galatians 6:10 "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."
