Johnny-Jump-Up---Splashes of Joy

This particular viola gives such splashes of joy. Every time I look into the face of one I am captivated by the beauty of this little flower. I love flowers and usually it doesn't matter what kind, but this little one is a particular favorite. When I was a child I cherished our walks in the woods as a family with my dad pointing out the beauty all around us in the wild woodland gardens. The flower I loved the most as a child were the dark purple wild violets, so delicate, but so awesome Even as a child I was struck by their beauty. God is so good to care enough to give us such simple pleasures. 

Sometimes as people we get so discouraged and then God gives us little encouragements, like flowers, a child's hug or other small joys to get us through the day. That is just the way my heavenly Father is---caring about everything in my life. I'm so glad I have a personal relationship with Him---glad to know that even during the painful times in my life, I can still see God's finger pointing out the joys of this life, just like my own dad did many years ago.
