Tell Me What the Lord Has Done

Did you overcome the Tempter
When he came to you today?
Did you find the will to conquer,
Did you know the words to say?
Did you wave the Victor's banner
As you journeyed on your way?
     Tell me what the Lord has done.

Did you feel the burden lifted
When you thought your heart would break?
Did you find a prayer was answered,
Did He whisper, "For Love's sake"?
Did He dry all your tear-drops,
And all your sorrow take?
       Tell me what the Lord has done.

Did He help you through a crisis,
Did He give to you a song?
Did you taste His sweet forgiveness
When you knew that you'd done wrong?
Did He flood your soul with mercy;
Was He with you all day long?
        Tell me what the Lord has done.

Did the Lord restore your courage
When you thought all hope was gone?
Did He give you Peace and Comfort
And the Strength to carry on?
Did He whisper, "I am with you"
When you thought you were alone?
        Tell me what the Lord has done.

Did you cheer a lonely Traveller,
Did you share his pain and loss?
Did you tell him of the Solace
To be found at Calvary's cross?
Did you see Him meet the Savior
Who gives gold for  useless dross?
        Tell me what the Lord has done.

Tell me what the Lord has done;
Tell me of the vict'ries  won.
Tell me of the Power and the grace
With which He moves.
Tell me what the Lord has done.
