A little bit about us...please give photos time to load! =) We are nestled in middle of Amish country in the small community of Spartansburg, Pa. The area we live in is wooded, with many small creeks, dams and lakes. We love our pond! We have many kinds of fish (and snakes.) Don't like the snakes, but they eat bugs and mice. We have lots of frogs too... they also eat bugs... =)) Photos below are of our pond, Hal and Vickie. To see other photos Photos 1 Photos 2 (these are of Lake Erie and the lighthouse)
Coming ---> Photos 5
Hal is a retired Veteran from the Marine Corp and retired Letter Carrier from the USA Post Office. He is also a great husband, grandfather, and now an ex-hunter due to health problems. Usually, I call him a great hunter. He has the mounted deer horns to prove it. lol His family is the most important thing to him. His buddy is our black lab, named Snuggles. He loves spending time with our grandchildren and running his tractor. Of course, he loves riding the 4-wheeler, one of our favorite things to do. Also, he loves feeding and taking care of our granddaughter's horse Rosie, a 13 year old mare. He loves taking trips, if someone else is driving. Grin...one of our goals is to start taking bus tours in the U.S.A. We've taken a few, but would like to take many more. He enjoys visiting Lancaster County in Pennsylvania, also, the Amish community in Ohio. Vickie (wife, mother, and grandmother) Interests include computer, drawing computer graphics, working on our website, blogging, writing the Simply Abigail Adventures, ATV..ing, horseback riding, vegetable gardening, flower gardening, and sitting on our deck having coffee with my husband. Also, planning menus and cooking for my husband, who has diabetes. We consider education about diabetes to be very important. Diabetes My favorite season is fall. My favorite holiday is Christmas. My husband is the love of my life and my family is extremely important to me. We have 12 grandchildren and each one is loved. Hal and I are two peas in a pod. We are always together. Some people don't understand how we can stand being with each other 24/7 but when my husband got to the place that he could not be left alone, you learn to adjust. His health situation requires someone to be with him at all times... and the learning to adjust has been pure joy and my pleasure, believe me. Also, my husband makes me feel loved, which goes a long ways in adjusting to change. I think so many people would be happier if they looked at all the good things in their spouses, rather than complaining about the faults. After all, none of us are perfect, are we? Grin. Probably the biggest reason that we are so happy is that we each have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Good News.
