If you desire to encourage or help someone during the holidays and you knit or crochet, remember any of the local homeless shelters take donations (hats, scarves, sweaters, blankets, socks and so on) for the homeless. Salvation Army is a good place to donate also. If you don't like those options, start a ladies group---knit and crochet--- socks, hats, mittens, scarves, and afghans. Ask someone where to donate for your local area. Get your church ladies to donate scrap yarn for the projects. What better way to fellowship and at the same time help someone. Don't forget to ask businesses for donations also...sometimes they give from their reduced bins.
